Cooper's Hawk mage“Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have somebody click the shutter.” Ansel Adams

Phil Springer is my name and Exposure and f/stop is a web site that I created to visually illustrate the sights of the state of New Mexico and surrounding areas of the Southwest. Pecos Wilderness, Cumbres-Toltec Scenic Railroad, the Rio Grande and Red River box canyons, Ice Cave, El Morro, Valley of Fires, Tent Rocks National Monument, Valles Caldera National Preserve, El Malpais National Monument, Jemez and Sangre De Christo Mountains and the prarie lands of Southern New Mexico are a few that come to mind.

I lived most of my childhood years alternating between two places; Southwestern Ohio and North-Central New Mexico. The rolling hills, small creeks and corn fields in the countryside of southern Ohio to the tall mountains, deep canyons, valleys and small creeks in the New Mexico high desert have been an important part of my life experiences.  I was always drawn back to the desert where I have resided for the last 41 + years. I guess by now I am almost a New mexico native.

My preferred subject matter is anything outdoors from the ground up to and including the sky and many things in-between. Go to the Camera and Ink link above for more detailed bio information.

If you are interested in fly fishing I also have a fly-fishing web site Trout Flies by Phil, my other passion.
